GESTALTEN Northern Exposure

Northern Exposure dissects the myth of the Canadian cabin. Moving past the settler fantasy, it reveals what the archetype has become: a powerful refusal of the urban clamor. As a sharp counterpoint to Cottagecore, these projects strike a balance between the romance of the unreachable and the raw logistics of wilderness building. They form a pluralistic, shared vernacular, a contemporary lens on the Canadian sublime articulated through the country’s remarkably diverse set of landscapes.
